Are you a young person interested in earning money to review summer program applications?
The Summer Funding Collaborative is recruiting youth reviewers from Baltimore to evaluate applications and proposals for programming for children and families. Click here to apply. The SFC will convene an independent review panel to score proposals submitted in response to the Summer Funding Collaborative 2023 Request for Proposals (RFP). This panel will consist of youth reviewers ages 14-24 living in Baltimore City. Specific Review Panel responsibilities include:
Complete paperwork, including a Conflict of Interest Disclosure
Attend a one hour training
Participate in one, four-hour review session
Independently read proposals during the review session
Use a rubric to score the programmatic merits of the proposals
Work with other review panel members to discuss scores and provide written comments to Baltimore’s Promise
Work with other reviewers to calculate a final group score
Submit scores and comments to Baltimore’s Promise at the end of the review session
Youth reviewers will be compensated for their time in the form of a $175 Visa gift card. In addition, the Summer Funding Collaborative will provide food, transportation, and childcare during review sessions.
